RNR Interstitial Residence

The RNR Residence is a complete reimagining of a semi-detached house. Rather than expanding upward, the design excavates an additional level to create a sub-basement car park, freeing the ground plane for generous living spaces, landscaped interstitial gardens, and light-filled courtyards. These carefully crafted buffer spaces separate the home from its adjoining neighbour, transforming the experience of a semi-detached property into that of a private, freestanding residence. Through layered privacy screens, lush greenery, and intimate spatial planning, the house achieves the character and exclusivity of a compact urban bungalow while maximising natural light, ventilation, and a strong connection to nature.
